Dogs for Adoption

Looking to adopt a pet?

The shelter is open M-F from noon to 5pm for adoptions.  Please stop by any time during business hours to meet our adoptable pets.

How do I meet a pet in a foster home?

If you would like to meet a pet that has the (FS) status by its name, please email us at cass@cabotar.gov to schedule a meet and greet.

Adoption Listings Key

If a dog/cat is a stray then the Shelter must wait 5 business days before the animal is available for adoption. If there is nothing in front of their name then they are here and ready for adoption.

Register Your Pet on Love Lost

Once you have adopted your new pet, make sure to register them on Petco Love Lost. If ever they get out, you can label them as “missing” and Love Lost will use facial recognition to search local databases for found pets matching their picture.

The key to a happy life with your dog? Training.

Behavior is one of the top reasons dogs are sent to shelters, according to the The Humane Society of the United States. Our mission is to help every dog and dog parent live their best lives together – so we created training that is effective, affordable, and rewarding.

GoodPup training is 1–1, at-home, on your schedule, with trainers ready to help 24/7.
