Growing food, friendships, and compassion — right here in Cabot!
Welcome to the Crops & Canines Community Garden, proudly hosted by Cabot Animal Support Services! Our garden is a place where people, plants, and pets come together to make Cabot a greener, kinder, more healthy community.
Located next door to The Peak Center of Cabot, the garden is tended by volunteers, local families, and community groups who share a passion for sustainability, animal welfare, and helping others. From fresh vegetables to pollinator-friendly flowers, every harvest helps feed both people and pets in need.
Our Mission
The Crops & Canines Garden connects humane values with healthy living. We believe that nurturing plants and caring for animals go hand-in-hand. Our mission is to:
- Grow fresh, local produce for our community members in need.
- Promote compassion and responsibility through humane education and outdoor learning.
- Create a shared green space where people and pets can find peace, purpose, and friendship.
How it Works
Our garden operates through the combined efforts of staff, volunteers, and local partners. Here’s how it grows:
- Community Plots – Residents can adopt raised beds to grow fruits, veggies, herbs, or flowers.
- Learning Together – We host workshops, school visits, and family volunteer days to teach sustainable gardening and animal care.
- Get Involved – From planting seeds to caring for our canines, volunteers of all ages can roll up their sleeves and be part of something meaningful.
Get Involved
Everyone is welcome to dig in! Whether you have a green thumb or you’re just learning, there’s a place for you in our garden. You can:
- Volunteer during our garden workdays
- Sponsor a raised bed to help us expand our efforts
- Donate seeds, soil, tools, or plants
- Bring a youth or community group for a service project
